NOW HIRING: Payroll Administrator

LOCATION: Centennial Auto Group, Summerside, PEI

HOURS: Full time, Permanent. Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

COMPENSATION: $18 - $24 per hour (negotiable based on experience). Benefits available


THE PERFECT FIT:

We are looking for an efficient Payroll Administrator to be responsible for all payroll processes. The Payroll Administrator’s duties include the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.


In order for you to be successful in this role, we require someone with strong numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding Administrator should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.


APPLICABLE SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of college or other courses in payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software programs
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • High degree of confidentiality for complete employee privacy
  • Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills

JOB TASKS:

  • Maintain payroll information by calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions
  • Issue paychecks and managing direct deposits
  • Prepare and issue
earnings statements
  • Prepare all year end functions related to payroll and T4s
  • Input all new hires and generate ROEs as needed
  • Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests from a 200+ employees
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Maintain payroll operations by following payroll compliance legislation
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Worker’s Compensation, RRSP and benefits plan administration
  • Coordinate with the HR Department to ensure accurate employee records
