DESCRIPTION

The Network Administrator will need to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communication network. The Network Administrator must be capable to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operations. The Network Administrator will be fully supporting, configuring, maintaining and upgrading the in-house servers, installing and integrating new server hardware and applications as well as keeping an eye out for needed updates.

REQUIREMENTS

- Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or a complementary such as Business Administration with corresponding IT certifications

- Minimum 5 year of experience in a Network Administrator’s role

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

- Communication in both English and French is an asset

- Demonstrate initiative and excellent interpersonal skills

- Aptitude in problem-solving and possess analytical abilities

- Be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at a time

- Must be able to work well alone or in a team

- Excellent knowledge of best practices in management control, and monitoring of server infrastructure

- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution

- Ability to set up and configure server hardware

- Familiarity

with backup and recovery software and methodologies

- Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training

- VWware Certified Professional (VCP3, VCP4, VCP5)

- Interactive Intelligence – Core Administrator

- Interactive Intelligence VolP Certification 2.4.1

- CCNA&CCDA Design (Cisco Certified Network Professional)

- CCENT Design (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician)

- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)

- 3Com University – VolP NBX Certified

- NBX Certification on 4000 Platform

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade in-house servers

- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications

- Manage and maintain the call center IP telephony system

- Keep an eye out for needed updates

- Support and administer third-party applications

- Ensure network security and connectivity

- Monitor network performance and test for weaknesses

- Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords

- Resolve problems reported by end users

- Define network policies and procedures

- Specify system requirements and design solutions

- Research and make recommendations on server system administration

- Ensure that security architecture of all platforms supported is in compliance with the corporate guidelines/standards
