Weekend Cook

Bevan Lodge is a small Community Care Facility for Seniors that provides person centered care.

Candidates must have Food Safety Certificate, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Valid CPR/First Aid and WHMIS Also must be currently residing on PEI

Applicants must have an excellent work ethic and be dependable and reliable to apply

Duties:

• Prepare foods according to the menu and guidelines of the facility
• Serve meals
• Monitor and maintain food inventory
• Wash dishes
• Set up, clear and clean tables
• Maintain a clean kitchen and dinning room area
• Clean kitchen appliances as required

Skills Required:

• Be able to multi-task
• Able to work alone and in a fast paced environment
• Be self-motivated
• Have a knowledge of sanitation and food safety guidelines

Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

Salary: From $14.00 per hour

Experience:

• cooking: 1 year (Required)

Licence:

• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (Required)

Job Duties:

• Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
