Unit Summary

The McMaster Children’s Hospital Autism Program is an ambulatory service for children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These services have strong links to McMaster University’s Department of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, the Offord Centre for Child Studies; an internationally acclaimed research centre focused on children with emotional and behavioural challenges.

Position Summary

Working within the McMaster Children's Hospital Autism Program and under the clinical direction and supervision of a Psychologist or the Clinical Director of the program, the Clinical Coordinator - ASD will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and supervising the services provided by the program in the capacity of the Clinical Supervisor.

Schedule Work Hours

Days, evenings and weekends. This position is temporary until March 2021.


1. Masters Degree in Psychology preferred (Masters Degree in a related field will be considered)
2. Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
3. Extensive experience and training in Applied Behavioural Analysis
4. Minimum (3) three to (5) five years recent experience with individuals with autism
5. Minimum (3) three to (5) five years experience supervisory experience
6. Demonstrated skills in leadership and training
7. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously & as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
8. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
9. Ability to be flexible
in work schedule in order to meet client and staff needs
10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
11. Valid drivers license and access to an adequately insured vehicle
12. Willingness to participate in a criminal reference screening process
13. Fluency in French will be considered an asset
14. Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)
