Other Details: 7F, Reporting to Manager, Ramp (5T), Rotational: 3 weeks on 3 weeks off, No Staff Housing provided

Level: As per Unifor Collective Agreement Ramp Attendant Pay Scale

Skills and Qualifications

Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Birth certificate
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs on a continuous basis
  • Ability to work in a fast pace energetic environment
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions as 95% is spent outside all year round
  • Must be available for shiftwork (including weekends and statutory holidays)
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proven ability to take initiative and solve problems
  • Customer friendly focused at all times
  • Well-spoken English, proven communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Hard working, keen, responsible,
dedicated and safety oriented,
  • Mechanically inclined is considered an asset
  • Staff housing not provided
  • Ability to communicate in an Indigenous language (Inuktitut preferred) considered an asset
  • Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada
  • Duties and Responsibilities

    Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Marshall departing and arriving aircraft
    • Load and unload aircraft
    • Secure cargo and baggage
    • Sort cargo
    • Deliver cargo to and from the aircraft
    • Deicing aircrafts
    • Push and pull aircrafts with push tug
    • Servicing of aircraft lav/water/Gpu/heat cart
    • Servicing of vehicles checking of fluids/fuel/clean
    • Loading/offloading up to four aircrafts at once
    • Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
    • Other duties as assigned.
