Physician Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for establishing pre-employment and ongoing testing procedures
• Primary contact with a third party medical service providers
• Work collaboratively with third party providers to establish respiratory fit testing and audio testing programs and procedures
• Drug and Alcohol testing, the collection and testing of samples, integrity testing, testing and/or shipping of samples, completion of paperwork and reporting to Designated Employer Representative
• Other testing includes audiometric testing, vision screening and spirometry testing
• May include Mobile Testing using the mobile unit/truck
• Build relationships and provide excellent customer service

Physician Assistant Job Requirements:

• Certified by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC)
  • or Training provided through the Canadian Forces Health Services Training Centre
  • or a Graduate of a Canadian Medical Association (CMA) accredited PA program
• Good standing membership - Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA)
• Health Care Provider-Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation-Provider (HCP CPR)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support-Provider (ACLS)
• Audiometric Technician Course
• Spirometry Technician Course
• Drug and Alcohol Testing Certifications
  • DOT Urine Collection
  • Urine Point of Collection Testing
  • DOT Breath alcohol Technician
• Current Criminal Record Check (within 90 days) and Vulnerable Sector Check
• Current Medical & Immunization Record (within 90 days)
• Up to date Driver’s Abstract
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, while interacting with internal and external clients
