Kennetcook Collaborative Clinic is seeking a family medicine physician to join their team of family practice nurses, mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, and visiting nutrition services. It is a turnkey practice supported by an electronic medical record (EMR).
This is the perfect opportunity for a physician looking to focus on building a rewarding family practice with minimal operational requirements. As part of a collaborative practice team, the successful candidate will provide office-based comprehensive primary care services to clients in a rural community.
- full-time, part-time
- 37.5 hours per week
- 46 weeks per year
- four weeks vacation
- two week for continuing medical education (CME)
- provide primary health care services
- collaborate with nurse practitioners
- provide diagnostic services such as laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Kennetcook is located within the East Hants Municipality and encompasses the communities of Rawdon, Kennetcook, and Noel. There is a strong sense of community in the Hants North area and lots of outdoor activities to enjoy either along the Minas Shore or through the wooded trails. There are local elementary, junior, and senior high schools.
