This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

The Short Order Cook in Central Food Production is responsible for the ingredient control of recipes which includes the measuring and portioning of recipe ingredients and the production of food items for the patient menu. He/She is also responsible for following cost control procedures, food handling procedures and providing overall customer service according to departmental standards.
  • Frequent physical demands including extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and transferring food supplies throughout the shift.

  • Grade XII
  • 1 year relevant
  • Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
  • Communication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

    • Permanent, part-time 40% position; 30 hours bi-weekly
    Salary Information

    $20.1508 - $22.3898 hourly
