Reporting to the Manager, the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) is a member of the Resident Care Team who administers care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CCA performs personal care and hygiene procedures for residents and assists in the recording of resident information, admission, transfer and discharge of residents. The CCA maintains a comfortable and caring relationship with residents and a professional relationship with residents’ family members. Other job related duties.

  • Completion of a recognized PCW or CCA Course
  • Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)
  • BCLS or CPR Certification
  • Completion of an Alzheimer’s or Dementia Course
  • One year experience in Long Term Care preferred
  • Willingness to accept supervision by a designated
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with patients, families, and co-workers
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

    • Short Assignment, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
    • Beginning March 22, 2020 until September 1, 2020

    Salary Information

    $18.5749 - $20.0914 hourly
