Corporate Finance Specialist - Term

Our Corporate Finance team is currently seeking a high energy, results oriented individual with strong technical and analytical skills. As the Corporate Finance Specialist you will lead the annual budget cycle including coordination of the corporate budget schedule for Nalcor and its subsidiaries. You will be responsible for review of the underlying financial analysis and reporting pertaining to the budget for accuracy and quality, including that required for Board, Audit Committee and Shareholder deliverables.

The Corporate Finance Specialist will also be responsible for the coordination and review of certain monthly financial reporting deliverables, consisting of financial and non-financial metrics,
ensuring high quality, timely information is available to the Corporate Finance and Leadership teams on a monthly basis. Additionally, you will provide support in relation to ad-hoc corporate financial reporting and budgeting initiatives and liaise across the organization, as required.

The Corporate Finance Specialist will be responsible for the review and updating of policies and procedures as they relate to finance, coordinating with other areas of the business, as required. In addition, you will work closely with the Financial Systems team to develop a chart of accounts governance model and participate in business change management related to changes in financial processes or systems.

As an ideal candidate, you possess a University Degree supplemented with a professional accounting designation. You have a minimum of seven years related experience and you must be highly organized and deadline driven and committed to delivering results. Excellent communication skills, analytical skills and problem solving ability are all required. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment is critical to success. In addition, you will have strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
