(One Year Contractual Position)
With minimum supervision, the successful applicant will perform moderately difficult and varied clerical work which involves some independent judgement to provide support to the Associate Deans Undergraduate and Graduate and Research. Duties include maintaining the Associate Dean’s calendars; acting as secretary to standing and ad-hoc committees; preparing and circulating minutes and agendas; arranging logistics for meetings; formatting presentations; drafting and preparing letters, memos, and reports; liaising with other university departments on a regular basis; assisting with the coordination of undergraduate and graduate scholarships; providing support for the Dean’s list awards; providing support to the interdisciplinary graduate programs; organizing the 3M thesis; providing general office reception; directing incoming and outgoing mail; answering counter, telephone, and e-mail enquiries and making necessary referrals; typing letters, memoranda, and other documents from rough draft; creating and maintaining excel databases; maintaining an inventory and ordering supplies; photocopying and filing; completing routine financial documents; maintaining a computerized and manual filing system; and performing other related duties as required.
Experience (1-3 years) in moderately difficult and varied clerical work; graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in business education and word processing; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
