Reporting to the Manager of Operations, but collaborating with Principal Investigators, and working with minimum supervision, the successful applicant will perform secretarial duties to support a faculty development program for rural and remote physicians. Duties include typing letters, memoranda and correspondence from dictating equipment and/or rough draft; proof-reading documents for grammar and formatting; providing administrative assistance for committees; taking and transcribing minutes of meetings; preparing and distributing agendas; scheduling meetings and providing necessary support; arranging travel; replying in person, telephone or correspondence to enquiries; transferring paper-based information into excel or similar software; uploading prepared files and documents to a webpage; maintaining a computerized and manual filing system; ordering office supplies; coordinating catering; and performing other related duties as required. Occasional overtime (time in lieu) and travel may be required.
Experience (1-3 years) in secretarial work; graduation from high school supplemented by courses in business education or secretarial science; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
SALARY $34,952 - $49,008 (CUPE Local 1615)
