(Permanent Position)

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the successful candidate will serve as a member of the educational development team in the Office of Professional & Educational Development (OPED). Duties include coordinating the delivery of certificate programs and courses via onsite and distance formats for the health professional audience including recruitment, promotion, application processes, and all communications to learners; project coordination of the MedQuest program including fostering sponsorship opportunities, managing timelines, establishing and working within budgets (in consultation with the Operations Manager), recruiting speakers, booking accommodations, coordinating communications with learners; coordinating the Health Professions Educational Scholarship Forum including planning meeting coordination, promotion, booking space and catering, coordinating travel for speakers and award winners; providing administrative support for the evaluation of Undergraduate Medical Education (the M.D. Program) including arranging the Program Evaluation Subcommittee (PESC) meetings, taking minutes, disseminating agenda items, tracking meeting attendance in accordance with the PESC Terms of Reference, assisting with the administration of evaluations for Faculty, Tutors, Residents (teaching), Rotations, and Courses, preparing and releasing evaluation forms, running evaluation reports in One 45, disseminating reports to the appropriate persons, adhering to a complex and time sensitive schedule; and performing other related duties as required.


Experience (3-5 years) in program coordination and administrative support within an academic environment, completion of two-year diploma in Office Administration or Business Administration, or any other combination of education and experience. Coursework toward a University degree in a relevant filed (adult education,

education, health sciences) would be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have superior organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, (both written and oral); knowledge of project management practices, developing budgets for programs, and experience in taking and transcribing minutes along with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced professional environment both independently and as part of a team are essential. Familiarity with the Faculty of Medicine would be an asset.

SALARY $39,910 - $55,962
