Planning - Support Services Supervisor

With the assistance of two planners that report directly to the Planning-Support Services Supervisor, You will develop implement and maintain a comprehensive computerized maintenance management program; assist in building the master work plan which includes the activities, resource allocations and schedule. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive plans for maintenance, overhauls, equipment upgrading, modifications and projects; developing realistic schedules which reflect available resources; and monitoring the work in progress and updating of the work schedule where necessary. Oversee the day to day work flow of the Clerical staff within the Labrador region

You will co-ordinate the preparation of the departmental operating and capital budgets; in collaboration with business unit managers and the Team Lead for Support Services. Monitor and prepare reforecast for the operating and capital budgets, informing of potential problems. You will also ensure that the

safety and health program and the environmental management program are integral parts of the maintenance planning and support services activity; and perform a variety of other related administrative duties. Oversee the contract administration for TROL.

Your educational background includes a three year technology course from a recognized school or journeyperson certification supplemented by a university degree in business or a recognized accounting designation. You have a combination of ten years progressive and relevant experience in an electrical utility and office environment supplemented by five years supervisory experience. You must possess well-developed skills in oral and written communications, combined with supervisory, planning, organizational, analytical and management ability and good interpersonal skills. You must have a good working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office, P6, Lotus Notes (including the database functions), JD Edwards, Showcase Strategy, computerized inventory, and maintenance programs.
