The Court Services Branch is committed to the continual improvement of programs, systems, methodologies and tools to support the efficient administration of court services throughout the province. The Strategic Information and Business Applications Unit has responsibility for line of business application support, maintenance, enhancement, as well as data quality, business intelligence and reporting. This unit has been named a BC Public Service “Top Work Unit” since the Work Environment Survey began in 2006.
As the Business Application Advisor you provide senior level analysis and advice to support the operation and administration of business applications in Court Services Branch. These multiple and complex systems (such as SCMS, JMS, IRIS, CTAS, and ARC) collect, track, manage, and report on transactional and administrative data pertaining to the justice administration process, and are accessed and utilised by court locations and registries across the province, the Judiciary, private bar, other justice-related agencies, and the public. The position supports front line operational users, involved in the daily operations of the province's justice system, and assists with business analysis, user requirements, testing and support for changes and betterments to the systems.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- A diploma in public or business administration or related program area or equivalent.
- Experience in working collaboratively with various stakeholders on business process change involving automation.
- Experience with business applications including implementation planning and testing, security and the development of analytical reports.
Preference may be given to applicants with
- Experience in working in the court environment with business applications used in the criminal, civil and family court settings and/or sheriff services.
