The Opportunity

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Front Desk Clerk, are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the premises , responding to questions of tenants, answering the phone and responding to questions/taking messages from callers, undertaking hourly floor and room checks; responding to emergencies including administration of naloxone.

You are committed to working with people who are struggling with substance use and or mental wellness and understand and are comfortable working within a harm reduction environment. You Also Have:

  • Proven initiative, judgment, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain rapport with the tenants, your co-workers and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and carry out work with independence
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position and carry out heavy cleaning duties

Additional Requisites/Assets:

  • A valid First Aid Certificate is an asset
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate is an asset
  • All positions are subject to a criminal records review
