Bodwell High school (www.bodwell.edu) offers a variety of Saturday morning courses including English language and skill development. The courses are non-credit and last for 13 sessions of 3 hours each (from 9:25am-12:25pm) on Saturdays. The Spring 2020 session starts February 22nd 2020 until June 20th 2020 (no classes on holiday long weekends and 2 weeks in April). If the course delivery for the Spring term is mutually satisfactory, it will continue into future terms.

We are currently looking for a highly passionate instructor to fill the following course:

  • Intro to Psychology

Expectations on the applicant: Potential instructors must be skilled in approaching the subject in an engaging, experiential, creative, hands-on, skills-based and interactive manner. These courses are not part of the formal curriculum, but are important subjects to enhance and broaden student learning and development to complement regular Monday to Friday classes and meeting specific student needs. Most of Bodwell’s students are English language learners, so sensitivity and expertise teaching ELL students will be preferred. Instructors decide on the exact curricular content, in collaboration with school administrators.

Qualifications required: Instructors need to have relevant expertise in Psychology and relevant professional training and experience. Experience working with children and youth preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
