is looking to hire Classroom Supervisors as casual on-call substitute basis


Knowledge and experience in related subject areas as well as a background working with children would be strong assets but is not required. Short listing of suitable candidates will begin immediately. These individuals need to be flexible and able to work closely with others to supervise students and ensure a classroom environment conducive to learning. The duties of Classroom Supervisor include:

  • Report to the
school office on arrival;
  • Report to the school office before leaving at the end of the day and complete a Classroom Supervisor form;
  • Suitably record student attendance;
  • Complete morning, noon-hour, and after school supervision assigned to the teacher that day under the supervision of a school administrator that day;
  • Present the lesson prepared by the classroom teacher. Classroom Supervisors do not assess or plan lessons;
  • Leave a written statement of work done;
  • Seek assistance/advice from the School Administrator(s) before taking major disciplinary action;
  • Expected to work up to 8 hours/day for a full day and 4 hours for a half day. (The Principal has the discretion to allow the individual to leave once his/her duties are complete.)
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the Principal.
