If so, the Surface Rights Board has the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking Case Coordinators to provide effective support and case management of applications submitted to the Board for review. From intake to final resolution, as a Case Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of applications while promoting continuous improvement. This includes application intake, drafting correspondence and proceeding notices, scheduling and coordinating dispute resolution conference calls or mediation sessions, preparing case summaries and the reviewing/drafting and issuing of decisions or orders. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing applications against legislation, regulations and jurisdiction of the Board to determine potential issues and possible options to proceed with the application.

As a Case Coordinator, you will be involved in applications with varying degrees of complexity! Part of your role is to identify issues with applications or files that may require Board Officer, Director, and/or legal counsel review. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while using your exceptional organization and time management skills to ensure timely resolution of applications. The Case Coordinator requires well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. As well, you must have the ability to work professionally with sensitive and confidential information. This position requires the ability to interpret work within established policies, framework and legislation. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are paramount in this role, and your high degree of accuracy and attention to detail will assist you when drafting and editing legal correspondence, memos, letters and decisions.


Two year diploma in a related field, plus a minimum of one year of progressively responsible case and/or application management experience is required.
Experience at an advanced level with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required. The following would be considered an asset: experience drafting legal documents; experience working within a quasi-judicial board or legal environment; experience working with land titles. Equivalencies will be considered.

$1,997.64 - $2,456.16 bi-weekly


    There are four 1-year temporary-salaried opportunities with the possibility of extension located in Summerside Business Centre, 1221 91 Street SW, Edmonton.

    Hours of work: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
