We are integrating over 1,300 independent systems into a common health information system that will ensure that patients, families, and medical professionals can get the right information, at the right time, and in the right place. The Connect Care program will empower Albertans to take ownership of their own health and care by giving them increased access to their own health information, anywhere in the province. As Willow Inpatient Application Lead you will play a pivotal role in the transformation of the organization goals and objectives serving as a liaison between the software provider – Epic and AHS to ensure that deliverables meet required deadlines for the Connect Care. The Lead will have a key responsibility of managing and leading work with the project team and organizational leaders to set the direction for the organization's workflows and the design and configuration of the module assignment. You will also provide direction, mentorship and support to junior staff and report all progress of assigned duties in the Epic Willow Inpatient application.

Connect Care is a collaborative effort between Alberta Health and AHS staff, clinicians, and patients. As Application Lead, you will have the opportunity to guide workflow design, build, configuration and testing of the system, and to analyze other complex technical issues associated with a specific module. You will maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and participate in project team meetings to ensure the design meets the organization's business needs of the project deliverables and timelines. You will provide ongoing support with the purpose of delivering high quality information to support end-users throughout the province. This work requires you to become Epic certified (accredited while travel is restricted) and act as a senior subject matter expert with the ability to recommend enterprise wide innovative solutions based on best practices and understanding AHS’s environment and organizational strategies.
